Supple, light kangaroo leather on the upper wraps the foot gently. A 6mm wedge heel (about 0.24 in) gives the sole a wide, stable footprint, and the moderate height adds a little lift. It tires you less over a long day, through the commute and everything after. A dependable pair, worked through even where it does not show.

Each step lands soft, and a light build with a steady heel means a long walk tires you less. Commute, shopping, travel: it keeps your step light through all of it.

We have built shoes at our Fuchu factory since 1933, adjusting the last and pattern again and again to fit the Japanese foot. The sole cushions and lasts, and it can be repaired, so it stays with you. A serious pair you'll still reach for every day, made by hand in Fuchu.
