"Is it possible to create business shoes that are even lighter and softer than our current Biz model?"
Biz-128 was born from the endless ambition of the SPINGLE Biz planning department.
The new material used for the upper, "feather touch leather," is cowhide but is as light and soft as a feather, combining a high-quality feel with comfort.
The feel is so different from that of the same cowhide that we named it Feather Touch.
The secret of lightness
So why is it that even though it is cowhide, it is so light and has a feather-like touch? There are two secrets to this.
The first is that the cowhide is tanned in a special way, which gives the leather itself volume and makes it numerically lighter.
The second is that by paying particular attention to the finishing agents, we were able to create a thin, soft texture and adjust the gloss, texture, and fullness to achieve a sensory lightness.
This is a new material that was developed through repeated trial and error.
